WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. In this role, you will act as the primary quality interface between our organization and our customers, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective issue resolution, continuous improvement, and proactive quality management.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and excellent customer communication abilities to drive quality performance and strengthen customer relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints.
  • Lead customer issue investigations and coordinate cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage customer quality portals, scorecards, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and submit quality reports, 8D reports, corrective action plans, and technical documentation to customers.
  • Analyze customer feedback, warranty data, and field performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate containment actions and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Participate in customer audits, quality reviews, and technical meetings.
  • Support new product launches and ensure customer-specific quality requirements are achieved.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, and logistics teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve key quality indicators, including PPM, customer complaints, warranty performance, and customer satisfaction metrics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in customer quality, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and quality tools.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and FMEA.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and Core Quality Tools.
  • Experience with customer-specific requirements from OEMs or major industrial customers.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and customer quality portals.
